I hear on a constant basis that wedding photography is soooo expensive. Yes, it is, but I am hear to tell you there is a LOT that goes into it.
Did you know:
I spend on average 40 hours after your wedding processing images?
I would love you to email me, add a comment, or post on my facebook page any questions you have for me, I will answer them on the blog!

Allie's Trash the Dress
Let me start off.. I think Allie and I are long lost sisters... I work with her mom and I truly think I belong to their family. When I got the idea for this shoot, Allie was my first choice. I sent her a message on facebook asking her if she was interested in modeling (but didn't give her much for details) was "me, a model, I think you have the wrong person." When I told her the details including 4 wheeling and mud and high fashion, she was completely on board! This was right up her alley.
And boy, was she a trooper, it was overcast, cold and windy this morning and she came out we did high fashion stuff. After she nearly froze to death we decided to go inside and warm up, after a break we hit a few more places and ended up trashing the dress. Thank God the weather got warmer this afternoon--it was actually really nice!!
A special thank you to JMG)J Western Exchange, she provided the beautiful necklace Allie is wearing in the shoot. Also thank you to Cyndy (Allie's mom) for providing the dress. It was nice of her to let us trash one of her scrap dresses.

Rambles..
Just wanted everyone to know, I just got in brand spanking new wedding pricing brochures. These will highlight my new packages in which you can add in sessions like bridals and trash the dress and all kinds of "extras" to your package. If you're an upcoming bride, please give me a call or shoot me an email and I'd be happy to send you information on my new pricing. My packages start at $1000 and are customizable to exactly what you are wanting on your day.
Also, check out Forever Photography on Facebook (there's a link to it on the upper right hand corner of the blog). It's the one with the ring on the pink boot. I run specials and giveaways on there all the time. Just ask Penni, she won a free session one night--all for being the 10th responder to my post! A lot of fun to be had on Facebook!

Operation Love Reunited
Hey everyone, just wanted to remind you that I'm an Operation Love Reunited Member--the only photographer in Iowa who does these sessions. Deployed military members and their families get up to 2 complimentary sessions. Also included is a 5x7 album of proofs sent overseas where the military member is deployed.
Here's some of a session I did this past summer. This soldier was back for a few weeks on R&R. We did the session the day after he returned.
God bless our soldiers and their families. :)

Rave
I just want everyone to know how much I appreciate other businesses who help mine grow. Today I took a 16x20 metallic picture down to M&J Art gallery in Ottumwa to have it dry mounted on foam core and they had it done in less than an hour. I've have them do this to numerous prints of mine and their service is outstanding!! I just want them and everyone to know how much I appreciate them helping me out. This image is a sample image and I'm using it today when I meet with a client.
Please use them if you have any framing needs! Here's a link to their site. "M and J art gallery"

Big Girl!
Oh my gosh, isn't she cute? !! She's the daughter of one of my friends, Racheal. We met up at Smokey Row in Osky, and we pretty much let her do her thing up there and I shot some candids of her while she explored the place. A special thanks to Smokey Row, they put a birthday sign for her up on the marquee.
Take a look...
Has to be one of my favorite kid pictures...
