Hailey and Collin

I had the pleasure of photographing these two cuties this week. Collin was 14 days old and super cuddly. Hailey was a little shy at first but she quickly warmed up and was hamming it up for the camera in no time flat. What a cute little family!

Thanks so much for coming up to the studio and we will see you in a few weeks.

Leaves.. Lots of them..

My cousin came up to Osky with his family and we did pictures today. What a beautiful day for pictures! And the leaves at Lake Keomah are absolutely gorgeous! I didn't think they could get prettier than a few weeks ago, but I guess they did.

A family shot of them all..

aaah, adorable!

Aren't they cute?

Such a doll.

What a beautiful family. Thanks for making the trek to Oskaloosa. It was good to see you again!

Couch in a Field Extravaganza II

Couch in a Field this year was interesting.. So we had 93 degree temps on Saturday, which gave me a sunburn during my first session the sun was so strong.. And the poor people that showed up in sweaters--they were troopers though! Sunday wasn't quite so warm, but in the high 80's. Didn't feel like fall at all, but it looked like it which was all we needed!

The Webb family came all the way from Ankeny. Mom's a photographer and we are going to swap services this fall so I can get some pictures of my kids!

Jennifer, Glen, and Cookie came.. I work with Jennifer. She is awesome! And Cookie even smiled for this picture :)

Felicia, Jessy, and the kids came...

Brent, Tiffanie, and Ronin came...

My neighbors Kelli, Doug, Douglas, Jason, Stef, and Grace came... They haven't had a family picture in 25 years.

The DeGeest family came.. Here's one of their girls. Adorable!

April brought her family; Nathan, Brayden, and Jackson.

Thanks for coming out guys, I really appreciate it. It was so good to see everyone. I can't wait until the next bunch of Couch sessions planned in a few weeks.!!!

So....... I promised pictures of the Couch in a Field event and here they are!!

playground fun

Boy oh boy, these kids are adorable! I know I say that a lot, but I get to photograph the cutest kids and I love that part about my job :) These kids were a pretty good challenge for me, Maddie (the youngest) wanted nothing to do with pictures, so I had to be creative to get the images of her, her sister was at the age where she loved pictures, so she was pretty easy for me (which I am thankful for :)

Enjoy!

I love it.. Grace stood a few steps above me on the slide and made faces. Love this one!

Family picture!

We had lots of fun, but we had a few tears as well!

Fun on the swings...

I had a great time, thanks for coming out girls! :)

Kool kids

Let me first start out by saying, I'm a very bad blogger right now, this session is pretty late on being blogged and I'm super sorry about that! But these kids are awesome and we got some really great images, and here is a sneak peek of them.

The kids were awesome, you can really see their personalities come out!

ha ha.. a funny candid :)

Thanks guys for coming out in what felt like 900 degree heat for this shoot. :) Your gallery will be posting very shortly!

Bixler Family

I work with Lesa at the hospital--I think she is one of the best massage therapists around, in fact, she's the only massage therapist that has convinced me to let her work on me. She has been awesome at helping me when my arthritis flared up. Between her and the new medications, I am a new woman! :)

This is her boyfriend's family. Let me tell you, they are awesome. I was a total stranger to most everyone, but by the end of the session, I felt like I was part of the family, they even fed me ice cream! :)

So, if you're ever looking to adopt another family member, PICK ME! :)

We re-created a family picture that was taken a few years back, their family has grown so much since then!

Here is this gorgeous family !

The whole huge family, including the dog, who smiled really nice for the camera too :)

An adorable candid... Aren't they cute?

Lesa and her fantastic boyfriend.

Street Family

It was sooooo hot out for this shoot, but this family was awesome! We had a sick little boy, but he was such an angel, so was his sister! We shot fast but got some really great images.

Enjoy! So nice to meet you all!

DeAnna's Maternity

I have had some ideas in my head awhile, so I asked DeAnna to model if she was up for this crazy hot weather. We said she was up for it, which was great. The day of the photoshoot, they issued a heat advisory, but she was still game! It was sizzling hot out, but there was a small breeze so that was great. DeAnna was a trooper!

So on these pictures, I tried out a new editing style and some new ideas I had been having. Hope you love them!

Love me some different angles !

So I borrowed this chair from the fantastic, Dana Linderman. When we got the chair, a leg was broken off (just broke off on the ride to my house). My son put the leg back on for me and we were able to use the chair for the rest of the shoot. While we were loading it in the truck, another leg broke off. ha ha.. this chair has leg issues. :) But it's too gorgeous to give up on.

Natalie & JD E-session

Meet Natalie and JD. You'll be seeing more of them, next month is their wedding. I'm hoping it is a little cooler on their wedding day, but if the day of their session is a trial run, we should be up for anything, it was soooo hot the day of their session. We shot at 7 p.m. to try to avoid the heat, so we got some beautiful light too. We were able to get some great shots :)

Love the sun flair. :) Romantic.

Fun. sparklers :)

love this. I think Natalie looks a little like Nicole Kidman in this one.
it's hard to be serious with the silly glasses on :)

they are avid frisbee golfers. We had fun with this :)

love!

thanks guys for being troopers in this weather. you were awesome!

Rylee & Brennan

These two cuties are in my Beautiful Faces program and are absolutley adorable! Rylee is by far the strongest willed little girl I have ever met. She will do exactly what she wants to do when she wants to do it.. :) But that's okay, after photographing her 3 times, I know how to get great pictures of her..... you know, distraction, bribery, and lots of luck!

She blew bubbles, he ate clover. ha ha.

outtake--lol. What is that look, Brennan? What is she whispering to you?

That's better :) Big smile!

OOPS! Ry, you lost someone! :)

I always get a "The End" picture with Rylee. She is clearly done!
