Foggy Sunsets

I loaded up the car and went to take pictures tonight. As I drove, I got super excited, this was going to be a great night to take pictures... I stopped on the side of the road for 2 of these. Yes, that's fog rolling in the fields on the first two.. it was gorgeous, let me tell 'ya! The highlight was when we stopped for pictures at the Marsh and we were covered with bugs.. Oh well.. what I put myself through for beautiful images, right..

First Day of School

Today was the first day... Austin's in 4th grade, Justyce in 1st, and Grace in Kindergarten. Austin asked to be let out at the curb, way far away from the doors (but I made him stay in the car, ha ha ha) Justyce told me he "wasn't staying the whole day," hahahha ha ha! and Grace gave her teacher a flower she had outside, she was very nervous but excited for her first day.

What a great day! I still remember my first days of school.. ahhh.. to be excited about new crayons again!

Saturday's Wedding

I did another wedding in Des Moines this weekend. This was a truely cute couple, they were so in love and it showed! Meet Amanda and Jordan...

Finally some lightning!!!

We had a great lightning show last night.. I was so excited and kept watching the skies... Not much cloud to ground lightning, but lots of cloud to cloud lightning...

The highlight was when a cop drove right through my shot as he was observing me shooting lightning! Although, there's no evidence of this, because my battery went dead just as it happened!

I will be posting this weekend, as I have my second wedding!!!! I'm super excited!

Oh.. it's gotta be 5:00 somewhere, right? I'm hoping for a great weekend, it should be great weather for pictures, I'm hoping for some storms so I can take some lightning pictures.. Keep your fingers crossed!

I also have pictures of my kids on the agenda this weekend. Hopefully they will let me take some fun ones... !

I'll post some if I get some great ones.. My kids tend to run from the camera lately..

I have great news! I was asked to advertise at the Oskaloosa High School, I've been given a generous 17x11" spot to put my advertsements in! I was the only photographer asked!! How cool is that!

I designed my first advertisement and it arrived in the mail today! I have to say... It took my breath away when I saw it... it's gorgeous!
