Operation Love Reunited

Oh, how I love Operation Love Reunited.. I really do.. I pour my heart into every session, but something comes over me when I do these sessions. They are very special to me. These little cuties and their mom came down from the Des Moines area and I did their pictures. The little girl kept telling me which lens to use when doing her pictures--it was so cute! A little photograher in the making! The little boy was absolutely the cutest little boy and he loved to make me work-he was constantly on the run! I still got some good stuff though!

Be careful, you might just fall in love with these cuties!

Kylie and Rob

Kylie and Rob got married yesterday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oskaloosa, IA. It was a steamy day for a wedding, but at least it didn't rain too much. We were able to get some shots uptown at the bandstand after the wedding, which was lots of fun. This crowd was a riot to hang out with. I even found out you can take a cork out of a bottle of wine with a tennis shoe--in fact they demonstrated with my shoe!

What a great couple, what a great family. I hope you guys are having a great time on your honeymoon.

2 ring shots..

ha ha.. we had fun, even during the formals!

Some fun stuff at the bandstand. I applied texture to this one..

Kylie wanted in on the macho guy shot.. LOL!

Let me explain... I had just gotten out of my car and it was so humid outside that my lens had fogged up.. lol, I like the shot anyway. ha ha..

you thought I was joking about the cork and the shoe... I saw it with my own eyes--the cork came out!

Lil sweetheart

This little girl is A-Dorable! Her mommy received a session with me as a gift after she was born and she was saving it up until she was old enough to play and get some great playful shots, so we did those today!

The weather was beautiful today--there was even a nice breeze in places. We did these pictures in Knoxville, Iowa, at the Marion County Park. What a beautiful place with lots of things to do!

I love how the vintage looks on these--love love love!

Preston (6 months)

Oh my gosh.. he's growing so fast!!!

Today we had planned on doing outdoor pictures, but I wanted to have a backup plan because of the heat. We ended up doing mostly indoor and a few outdoor pictures. This little guy was a crack up, he loved to eat the grass outside. As fast as his mom could get it out of one fist, he had the other fist full and ready to go in his mouth. What a little doll!

Hmmm. A little Cubs fan!

Operation Love Reunited

This little girl and her family came all the way from the Iowa City area to have their pictures taken. Her daddy is overseas serving in the military right now, so these pictures are a big surprise to him.

I am a proud member of the Operation Love Reunited family, which gives members of the military that are deployed complimentary sessions and an album for the military member. It's my personal way to give back to our wonderful troops which I am so very thankful for and I also think it's important to remember the families that are left with out a family member while they are serving. These people (the family of the military member AND the military members) are my HEROS.

I was so shocked when it started to rain... Mom called me and asked what the weather was doing--I told her it was raining here too. I asked her if she wanted to reschedule, but they decided to risk it and it was a great risk. By the time they got here it was not raining and overcast--the perfect combo for beautiful vibrant colors.

Peek A Boo!

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your service to my country.

oh what a cutie!

This little guy was born on the 4th of July and is sooo adorable! It was a bright sunny day, so we decided to use the natural light coming in the doors, Oh, how I love natural light!

Little guy would not let me put the rings on his toes. He'd curl his toes up under the blanket, even though he was asleep :) So we tried something outside the box..

If you look at his eyes, you can see the blue sky clouds that were outside the door..

Okay.. They brought out this beautiful cradle and I had this vision of the sky and clouds.. and I asked if it could be brought outside, and they even had a ladder I could use to get the shot that was in my head.. So here it is..

You'll see more of this little guy--he's enrolled in my baby plan!

Junkyard Boy

This is my son, Justyce. He's my middle child and he LOVES cars. He has literally hundreds of hot wheels and he loves to look at old cars, so I took him to the most logical place to look at them up close and person--the junkyard. What a great place for me to bond with my son. :)

We had fun..

he got this guitar for Chrismas--he loves it!

I know he's not smiling, but I like this picture anyway :)

He loves John Deere tractors!
