Family session with a maternity shoot mixed in...

Holly and her family came into the studio for some shots and then we took a trek to Lake Red Rock which is her husband's favorite place to be in the summer. It was a great time and the kids were adorable. Congratulations on your soon to be little one, Holly and Waylon!  This blog post has a lot of images in it because there was a lot of variety :)

The whole family..
 cute belly shot :)

Adorable attitude shot :)

 So sweet !
I chased this poor little guy all over and even held a few of his rocks hostage until he let me have one good shot of his eyelashes. Holy cow-they were to die for!  Don't worry, he was fine after I got my shot. ha ha, bribery goes a long way!
Thanks guys for coming in, I really appreciate it!

Family...

Ahhh, check out this great family. We drove out to Lake Keomah for their pictures and  found a really pretty place for pictures. They were so awesome and lots of fun! I'm so happy I got to photograph them and I look forward to photographing them in the future.
 I love this one :)

ha ha, she wanted NOTHING to do with the camera, but we did get her to peek out from behind her parents a few times. Super cute!

Van't Sant Family

This is one the beautiful Van't Sant families I photographed almost a week ago. This family brought along their beautiful tractor and we got some great pictures. The location was awesome, the tractor was great, the family was dressed in really nice bright colors AND despite the terrible wind out in the country, they found a little place out of the wind so we weren't fighting the wind like crazy while I was shooting the other Van't Sant family :)  Win Win Win!
Here are some of my (and their) favorites!

Family....

Ashley won a contest last month on my Facebook page and won a free session. She brought her family in and it was a beautiful evening out, so we did some pictures behind the studio and then come inside for some once it started to get dark out. It was so nice to meet her and her cute little family!

Wow! what a difference a few weeks makes, it is super green out now and there are leaves growing in on the trees now..

Couch in a Field Extravaganza II

Couch in a Field this year was interesting.. So we had 93 degree temps on Saturday, which gave me a sunburn during my first session the sun was so strong.. And the poor people that showed up in sweaters--they were troopers though! Sunday wasn't quite so warm, but in the high 80's. Didn't feel like fall at all, but it looked like it which was all we needed!

The Webb family came all the way from Ankeny. Mom's a photographer and we are going to swap services this fall so I can get some pictures of my kids!

Jennifer, Glen, and Cookie came.. I work with Jennifer. She is awesome! And Cookie even smiled for this picture :)

Felicia, Jessy, and the kids came...

Brent, Tiffanie, and Ronin came...

My neighbors Kelli, Doug, Douglas, Jason, Stef, and Grace came... They haven't had a family picture in 25 years.

The DeGeest family came.. Here's one of their girls. Adorable!

April brought her family; Nathan, Brayden, and Jackson.

Thanks for coming out guys, I really appreciate it. It was so good to see everyone. I can't wait until the next bunch of Couch sessions planned in a few weeks.!!!

So....... I promised pictures of the Couch in a Field event and here they are!!

Bixler Family

I work with Lesa at the hospital--I think she is one of the best massage therapists around, in fact, she's the only massage therapist that has convinced me to let her work on me. She has been awesome at helping me when my arthritis flared up. Between her and the new medications, I am a new woman! :)

This is her boyfriend's family. Let me tell you, they are awesome. I was a total stranger to most everyone, but by the end of the session, I felt like I was part of the family, they even fed me ice cream! :)

So, if you're ever looking to adopt another family member, PICK ME! :)

We re-created a family picture that was taken a few years back, their family has grown so much since then!

Here is this gorgeous family !

The whole huge family, including the dog, who smiled really nice for the camera too :)

An adorable candid... Aren't they cute?

Lesa and her fantastic boyfriend.

Street Family

It was sooooo hot out for this shoot, but this family was awesome! We had a sick little boy, but he was such an angel, so was his sister! We shot fast but got some really great images.

Enjoy! So nice to meet you all!

Mini Putt

A few weeks ago I had this fantastic idea to do candid family sessions at the mini putt here in town.. So, as usual, I put the idea out there on Facebook and this awesome family signed up! We used to be neighbors, so it was fun to get re-aquainted again. Not that we don't see them frequently at a local restaurant a LOT. :)

They had the coolest outfits ever! I kept photographing their shoes and socks ha ha..

hmmm. a Tiger Woods approved putt?

Guess what--I guarantee Tiger Woods will steal this pose.

Love the glasses! :)

Thanks guys for following my vision with this :) you guys are awesome!

Degeest Family

What a beautiful family, let me tell 'ya! They were tons of fun and up for about anything. It has rained a TON here the last few day and it was SUPER muddy on their property, so we did a bunch of pictures where we wouldn't get super dirty, and after we were all done with a majority of pictures, we did some where it was okay to get a little muddy. A little muddy is an understatement, I could barely keep my flip flops on, they kept slipping off on the hills. lol. I had flashbacks of last year when I feel down the steps while shooting on two occasions, but I didn't want today to be another fall day so I made sure to watch where I was going this time--tee hee.

Like I said-what a great family!

Dad and the girls skipping rocks.

I know this isn't a face shot, but I love it anyway.

love!

Adorable little smiler!
Mom and the girls...

This is the whole family all together. I know it's hard to see on this small version, but there's a neat bridge behind them. I promise it's there on the full size version.

Thanks guys, for letting me photograph your beautiful family!

Winegar Family

Last year, Penni won a contest on our Forever Photography facebook page and received a free session. They finally decided to use it this last weekend over the holiday weekend and it was perfect weather to do a session!!! What a great family they are, for such a large family, all of the kids were well behaved and so organized. It was awesome !

Check out what we came up with :)

My favorite.. :)

Horseplay.. ha ha.. :)

Based on her smile, she had no idea what he was doing behind her--ha ha..
